An air conditioner electrical line must handle long continuous load without overheating sockets, cables or breakers. A shared outlet circuit is not always suitable.
A separate line is recommended for powerful AC units, old wiring, overloaded outlet groups and panels with mismatched breakers.
The electrician reviews the AC power rating, cable size, contacts, grounding, breaker rating and residual-current protection. Installing a larger breaker without checking the cable is unsafe.
The safest approach is a dedicated copper cable from the panel, a correctly rated breaker and a reliable connection point near the AC unit.
