An automatic garage door opener needs stable and safe power. A weak socket, extension cord, loose contact or wrong breaker can stop the motor and overheat the line.
An electrician should check the socket, cable, breaker, RCD, grounding and voltage under load. The cable must not interfere with the door mechanism and should be protected from damage.
If the motor hums, the door stops, the breaker trips, the socket gets warm or problems increase in damp weather, the line should be professionally inspected.
