Lights dimming and then getting brighter can indicate more than a bad bulb. Common causes include loose contacts, overloaded wiring, neutral problems or unstable voltage.
Burning smell, warm outlets, noise from the panel, frequent breaker trips and brightness changes in several rooms require prompt inspection.
The electrician inspects the panel, breakers, phase and neutral connections, outlet contacts, junction boxes and voltage behavior under load.
Installing a larger breaker is not a fix. The real cause must be found, the wiring checked, the load balanced and weak contacts repaired safely.
